Deputy Defense Secretary England personally promoted a Muslim Navy chaplain who, according to the WorldNetDaily report reprinted below, is a “Wahhabi-trained Muslim chaplain.” Wahhabism is a very radical strain of Islam that emanates principally from Saudi Arabia.

It would seem reasonable for all of us to ask: “What’s going on at the Pentagon?”

In a special ceremony, the Pentagon recently promoted a Wahhabi-trained Muslim chaplain who catered to al-Qaida detainees at Guantanamo and fought to establish the first mosque in Marine Corps history.

Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England personally promoted Navy chaplain Abuhena Mohammed Saifulislam from lieutenant to lieutenant commander. Saifulislam also received a Joint Service Commendation Medal at the Pentagon ceremony held on the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Pentagon officials say the ceremony was unprecedented.

“It’s unusual for a deputy secretary to personally promote an officer of that rank,” said one official who wished to go unnamed. “No one has known of such a high-level dignitary doing that.”

England also earlier this year personally dedicated a new Islamic center at Marine headquarters in Quantico, Va., on the advice of Saifulislam, a Bangladesh immigrant who became a U.S. citizen in 1995.

The Muslim chaplain, who is stationed at Quantico, recited verses from the Quran in Arabic and English at the summer dedication ceremony, which included representatives from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, several leaders of which have been convicted on terrorism-related charges.

Saifulislam, which is Arabic for “Sword of Islam,” received his religious training at a radical Islamic school raided by federal agents after 9/11. The Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences, based in Leesburg, Va., is run by Taha Jaber Al-Alwani, an unindicted co-conspirator in the Sami al-Arian terror case. A federal affidavit used to obtain a warrant to search the school alleges Al-Alwani gave at least $50,000 in jihad money “to support suicide bombings.”

Saifulislam insists he is moderate and condemns “terrorism,” but critics say his Wahhabi background and associations should give the Pentagon pause.

“The Pentagon is giving him a permanent, taxpayer-supported platform from which to convert grunts to Islam,” said terror expert Paul Sperry, a Hoover Institution media fellow and author of “Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington.” “With the Quantico mosque, the Pentagon is facilitating the study of the holy text the enemy uses, heretically or not, as their manual of warfare.”

Saifulislam’s promotion along with the dedication of his new Quantico mosque – the first of its kind in the 230-year history of the Corps – comes on the heels of a Muslim spy scandal at Gitmo involving another Muslim chaplain.

Army Capt. James “Yousef” Yee, who ministered to al-Qaida detainees, was charged with mishandling classified information. Yee, a convert to Islam, quit the Army and the charges were dropped. But two of his Muslim military friends at Gitmo were convicted of espionage-related crimes.

Yee’s predecessor at Gitmo was Saifulislam, who was first assigned to the terrorist prison camp after 9/11. While at the Cuban base, the Navy imam privately counseled al-Qaida prisoners in their native tongues of Urdu and Arabic. “I must give hope for them to cope,” Saifulislam said at the time.

He set up the diet and prayer regimes for the detainees, recommending they be served halal meals – including traditional dates and lamb – prepared according to Islamic dietary law. Gitmo detainees can now choose from a menu of 113 Muslim-appropriate meals.

In addition, Saifulislam saw to it that detainees receive copies of the Quran and have access to prayer beads and skull caps. Saifulislam also set up a program to train guards to be more sensitive to the religious customs of their Muslim prisoners.

West Point bows to Mecca

Multiculturalism appears to trump concerns about Islamist infiltration of the military. Following the Marine’s lead, the Army in October dedicated a new mosque at West Point.

The U.S. Military Academy’s first worship hall for Muslims boasts green carpets, shoe racks and a pulpit facing Mecca. Officials agreed to set up the mosque, large enough for dozens of followers, after Muslim leaders complained that the office where Muslim cadets gathered for Friday prayers had become too crowded.

The Army has been recruiting international cadets from Muslim countries such as Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. Muslim enrollment at the academy in New York has jumped to 32 from just two in 2001.

“We live in a world where everyone is looking at the United States saying, ‘You’re anti-Islam,’” explained West Point Chaplain Col. John Cook. “But here at West Point, that’s not what we do.”

The U.S. military now boasts more than 10,000 Muslim soldiers, many of them black converts. On the eve of the Army’s push into Iraq, Army Sgt. Hasan Akbar, a black Muslim convert, fragged commanding officers at a military camp in Kuwait. He killed two of them and wounded 15 others.

Akbar, recently convicted of murder and given the death sentence, said at the time he did it out of loyalty to the umma, or global community of Muslims.

“You guys are coming into our countries,” he said, “and you’re going to rape our women and kill our children.”

Within months of Akbar’s traitorous 2003 attacks, the Defense Intelligence Agency issued an internal report warning that Muslim soldiers pose a possible security threat, according to national security reporter Bill Gertz in his new book “Enemies.”

It was also in 2003 that Yee was accused of spying for the enemy while serving as a Muslim chaplain at Gitmo. Yee graduated from West Point, site of the Army’s new mosque.

SO, YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ISLAM

If you are a Jew, you owe it to yourself, to your loved ones to know as much about Islam as you can. Not to learn the verkackte* “religion” (it’s an ideology really disguised as a religion), it is the political part that concerns you, not how many times they slam their foreheads on the ground per day). You need notbe able to quote the multitude of verses of the incomprehensible koran–incomprehensible because it is a patchworks of bits and pieces, taken from Judaism (mostly) and Christianity. And perverted. Oh how the teachings of Judaism are perverted! It is a pieced-together confusing mess–BECAUSE IT LACKS REASON!

It is not the koran, we are discussing here, however, but Islam–not its internal structure or different sects and schools, but HOW IT AFFECTS YOU! And me. For that’s all that matters, really. As for Islam far away from us, in its mosques in Arabia, we couldn’t care less how they pray there. The sermons delivered by their clerics, however, doconcern us. Why? Because more often than not they exhort the “faithful” to attack the Jew, to drive the Jew from Israel, and “in the end of days” to kill all the Jews.

That’s why Islam is important to Jews. Now, let’s get on with WHAT EVERY JEW NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT ISLAM–AND MOSLEMS, BECAUSE WITHOUT MOSLEMS THERE IS NO ISLAM, IT IS AN ABSTRACTION. AFTER HUMANS ARE GONE FROM THE EARTH, ISLAM AS WELL AS ANY OTHER IDEOLOGY, PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION WILL CEASE TO EXIST. NO MINDS, NO THOUGHTS, NO IDEAS.

To get started, to put your toe in the water–don’t be afraid, it’s warm, not too warm, but just comfortable–we refer to a post at Jihad Watch and some comments by insightful and ultra-perceptive minds.

Start off with the razor-sharp mind of Bill Warner Bill Warner who says

The amount of the material in the Trilogy (Koran, Sira and Hadith) about the kafir is considerable. About 67% of the Koran written in Mecca is about the kafir, 51% of the Koran written in Medina is about the kafir. About 75% of the text in Ishaq’s Sira is about the kafir and 20% of the Hadith (Bukhari) is about the kafir.

Every mention about the kafir is negative. “Kafir” is usually translated as unbeliever, but this is wrong. The word “unbeliever” is neutral. The Koran defines the kafir by its usage and says that the kafir can be killed, hated, punished, raped, mocked, enslaved, plotted against, beheaded, tortured, insulted, condemned, stolen from, deceived, kidnapped, humiliated and on and on. The Hadith and Sira follow in the same vein. There is no word in the English language that has the negativity of the word kafir.

As a measure of the negativity it is interesting to observe the Jew hatred. The hatred of Jews accounts for 10.6% of the text written in Medina . As a comparison, 6.8% of the text in Mein Kampf is about Jew hatred.

This section is brilliant, not only because it points out how the Qur’an is more virulently judeophobic (even though Islam may allow Jews the option of Islamizing, unlike the Nazis), but how words like ‘unbeliever’ or ‘infidel’ are inadequate translations of ‘kafir’. Maybe there is something to the claim of Mohammedan apologists that you have to know Arabic to understand the Qur’an, although not in the way they intend.

And this is the part people overlook when they for understandable reasons don’t want to get involved in the inner workings of Islam (just as I’m not interested in whether Catholic priests are ever allowed to marry). So much of it is about Islam vis a vis Infidels (which some Mohammedan poster here was yesterday touting as a positive that the destruction, or at the minimum, an overwhelming distortion of Islam is what would be required.

Let me use this example to show the dualism of Islam. This “call” has two meanings. The first meaning is that Mr. Yuksel has an actual concern for my well being and does not want me to be one of the citizens of Hell who is being mocked by the Muslims in Paradise as I burn with my shirt of fire and drink my molten brass. I like that interpretation.But there is a second meaning to the call. When Mohammed attacked the Jews of Khaybar (an event referred to in the Medinan Koran) he first called them to Islam. When they rejected this call they were attacked, crushed and made dhimmis. It was in this vein that bin Laden called America to Islam before he attacked on September 11, 2001 . So the call to Islam can be from care and concern or it can be a prelude to death by jihad. Such is the dualistic nature of political Islam and the Koran.

Of course, there were a few who sided, correctly, with the Jews, a few who remained immune to antisemitism because they knew the history of the West, knew the history of the West as part of that history, and knew what the Jews had meant to Western civilization — and they knew their Bible. These people were not the kind to be impressed by those Arab notables, nor if they were alive today, would they be taken in by the likes of “Oxford-educated” Sari Nusseibeh, or for that matter Tariq Ramadan.

Even the most “moderate” and outwardly acceptable of Slow Jihadists, the kind who can smile, who can speak nearly-native English, turn out, in the end, to be loyal to Islam, loyal to the demand that, little by little, the Infidel nation-state must be destroyed. If the Israelis lose military control of the “West Bank,” lose control that is of the traditiional invasion route from the East, they will be unable to defend themselves. That’s it. And if they lose control of the aquifers, the Muslims can interfere with, divert, or even poison, the water on which Israelis depend. They must throw out the haim-ramons and the ehud-olmerts, and vote in those who know what the legal, historic, and moral claims of Israel are, and will state them, firmly, instead of fearfully worrying, like the Israeli government preventing the tapes showing the Egyptians helping Hamas from being shown to members of the American Congress, about offending the people who, in Egypt and among the “Palestinians,” would gladly see them dead and their country destroyed, never to be rebuilt again.

And the big subject that no one will touch, the subject of Islam, and the Hate Whose Name We Dare Not Speak, must be talked about — to save Israel, and to save, as well, the rest of the threatened Infidel world. The first Israeli leader to talk about the Jihad against Israel, and about the attempt to disguise that Jihad, so far quite successful, as a “nationalist” struggle by the recently-invented “Palestinian people,” is the one who will help save the people and state of Israel. And they deserve such a leader. They do not deserve what they currently have for “leaders” or, as they say so often in America today, “people taking a leadership role.”
